Thank God, we had a great afternoon in Yishun Park--we saw four monkeys playing in the trees on the ground. We are all very excited to see them. Usually we will see squirrels and monkeys once a long while. Thank God for arranging a great opportunity for us.We enjoyed a lot especially Xinxin.
Xinxin is still doing well. Today she had three dumplings. She went to bed one hour later than usual. Before she went to bed, she told me to put less water for her porridge tomorrow. I thought she felt hungry, but she explained that she did not want to pass urine on the bed. I see. How nice she is!She knows that tomorrow she will start to collect her 24 hours urine for VMA test-it's a test to test the level of cancer cells in her body. Hers was from 128(Dec,2007) to 9.5 (June,2008). If it is below 6.5, it means positive- no more cancel cells.Let's just pray for her. She never wear diapers after one year old and never wakes up during midnight. But she did missed one time of urine collection because of too much water before sleeping.So that time she had to it again.

Welcome to Shu Qin (pet name as Xinxin)'s web page. It has been provided to keep friends updated about Xinxin's progress as she battled stage 4 Neuroblastoma.
She was diagnosed on December 8th, 2007 in KK Women's and Children's hospital,Singapore. She had four rounds of Opec and Ojec Chemotherapy. And she had a twelve-hour surgery on April 2nd 2008. Then she had four rounds of N7 protocol since the biopsy of the tumor showed little response. She did two rounds of strong chemo( cyclophospha and topetecan)But the bone marrow trephine was still positive.
We came to Queen Mary Hospital Hong Kong on Oct2nd,2008 for further treatment. Xinxin had 2 cycle of chemotherapy (gemcitabine and oxaliplatin) and one round of 3F8.
Her disease had spread, very rapidly, to her pancreas and everywhere.
Xinxin passed away at 3pm on Jan 10th,2009(Saturday).Her last word is that DON'T WORRY ABOUT ME.
We miss Xinxin a lot but we won't worry about her anymore as she is living happily in God's arms.
As her parents we want to thank God for holding our hands walking with us and for giving us such a good gift that we learned a lot from and thank all the friends who are helping us. Thank you all for being our friends.

My name is Kaitlyn, and I'm nearly 9!
I've been studying China and the Olympics at school and when I read that you get dumplings to eat I was so jealous! I want to try dumplings too!
My cousins live in Singapore, but they are coming to Australia soon for school holidays.
I had cancer too, but am feeling really good now.
